Implementation Platform for the Harmonic Management System

The simulation model has been built at NTNU, Department of Engineering Cybernetics and a Model Predictive Control (MPC) system is established in order to compensate harmonics in a Marin Vessel Micro Grid. The aim of the project is to realize the application platform for experimental verification of the proposed control system. The communication has been established between MPC running PC and the executer microcontroller (Infineon XMC4500 Relax Kit). The candidate need to work on executer microcontroller in order to extract the control signal coming from MPC running PC and feed to the inverter microcontroller. Final tests of the proposed control, will be performed in a close-loop demonstration network at laboratory.
